FantasyPros’ Leading Off: MLB Best Bets, Picks & Predictions for Monday, June 22

We are back with another edition of Leading Off, turning our attention to a pair of MLB wagers for our Hard Rock Best Bets of the Day.

Joe Pisapia’s Hard Rock Bet of the Day: Rays RL -1.5 (+118)

I’m going with the Rays on the run line, -1.5 at +118 odds.

Drew Rasmussen is on the mound. He’s one of the most underrated pitchers in baseball. We talked about him extensively last week.

He’s going against the Royals, too – a lineup that’s banged up and missing some people in it. So, as long as he doesn’t give up any home runs to Jac Caglianone, we’re in good shape here with Rasmussen.

Chris Welsh’s Hard Rock Bet of the Day: NYY-DET Under 8.5 Runs (-105)

No joke, that Rays bet was the one I was going to lock in. I moved away from it, but that was exactly the bet I was going to lock in.

I ended up playing an under – we’re going with the Yankees and the Tigers under 8.5 runs.

We’re backing Framber Valdez and Gerrit Cole. Framber only gave up one earned run in his last outing, and I like Cole against this Tigers offense.

For the Yankees offense, we’ll see what version of Framber we get. We have to bank on the good Framber, but he has been weird this season.

He has given up either one run or four runs in nearly five consecutive starts outside of this last one. It was zero, then four, then one, then four, then one, then four. So hopefully it’s not four today.

Under 8.5 seems like a little too many runs with a Judge-less Yankee lineup and a really good pitching matchup on tap.
